· Assist with arts and crafts, fishing, grooming and educational horse activities

· Gardening and maintenance such as fence painting, spring cleanup, trail maintenance
· Assist clients in our Reading Confidence Equine Program
· Cleaning Tack
· Working with professional staff in the arena to sidewalk with clients on horseback. This will give you firsthand experience with therapy sessions while working with our staff of therapists, instructors, and horses. To begin volunteering as a sidewalker you must be able to walk in sand/uneven surfaces for up to 30 minutes and attend a 1.5-hour training seminar. You do not need horse experience, just an open heart to make a difference in others’ lives.
To begin volunteering you must be at least 13 years old, or part of a chaporoned group. Volunteering is a great way to complete community service hours needed for school, church groups or corporate service days! Please click on the link below to fill out a volunteer inquiry form.

Do I have to be a horse person to volunteer? No, we will train you help us in the capacity you volunteer.
How far will I walk in the sand each ride while sidewalking? You will get your steps in a slow, controlled manner. Sometimes volunteers record up to 1 mile per ride! A healthy way to stay active!
Can corporations do a team volunteer project at EC? YES! We have many opportunities and have had over 30 projects help build and enhance our facility.
